DevOps (Energy platform)

WE are looking for a Senior DevOps to join our team in Ternopil (remote in Ukraine). In your role, you'll ensure the automation and reliability of the New York-based energy platform. You`ll work closely with product engineers, security analysts, and implementation engineers to enable the clean energy transition for millions of people.

About the project


Our client is a Distributed Energy Resources (DER) management platform in the US. It produces energy management tools that improve the relationship between consumers and utilities and help decarbonize the electrical grid.

The platform is trusted by 60+ utilities that support the comfort live of millions of people.

Tech Stack: AWS, CI/CD, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Python, Java.

Team: 100+ specialists. 5 DevOps engineers are located in the US and 1 Senior DevOps works in Ternopil.


  • Improve the safety and reliability of our system
  • Increase developer throughput by improving tooling for observability, monitoring, alerting, and deployment
  • Build tooling to manage our varied infrastructure needs
  • Drive delivery of cloud-based infrastructure and security solutions that allow our engineers to quickly build products without needing to be experts at all levels of the stack.
  • Work cross-functionally to define, scope and prioritize projects that focus on developer and operational needs
  • Create reproducible cloud infrastructure using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Packer, and Chef.


  • 4+ years of experience developing and supporting scalable and reliable web applications and APIs.
  • Linux system administration skills
  • AWS management experience
  • Experience administering a CI/CD workflow
  • Experience with configuration management or infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Experience working on a professional web development team
  • B2+ English level (both written and verbal)

preferable experience

  • Travis CI or Jenkins
  • Python/Java - it’s useful to understand the codebase even if you won’t spend that much time in it
  • Ansible
  • Experience with Docker, especially Fargate
  • MongoDB database management
