Senior back-end developer

Our client is the world’s fastest platform to give meaningful feedback. Located in the USA, New York. It facilitates personal growth through the wisdom of network with continuous feedback on Slack, Google Calendar, Zoom, Outlook etc. Founded in 2019, startup is already trusted by such companies as eBay, MasterCard, IBM, Walmart, and T-Mobile.

Tech Stack: Back-End: Node.js, Google Cloud (k8s + SQL Postgres instance). Front-end: JS, React.js.

Team: 8 specialists: 6 team members in the USA and 2 Senior Full-Stack Developers located in Ternopil.

• You will implement the logic around sorting and filtering of the feed out
• You will help to improve and develop the product alongside the cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and engineers
• Measure & improve API response times across NodeJS and Machine Learning Python APIs
• Create resilient infrastructure using GCP and Kubernetes
• Integration with new platforms (Zoom, Web, Chrome Extension, JIRA, MS Teams, E-mail, Calendar, etc.)
• Collaborate and communicate with client and development team effectively on both video calls, and on Slack
• Ability to manage and "own" your work
• Prepare and maintain documentation
• Help people build habits by lowering the barriers to making feedback happen
• Build new ways for people to connect with one another (i.e. skills-based leaderboards, mentor matching, etc.)

• Work experience min 4+ years as a Back-End / Full Stack Software Developer (Node.js or Python)
• Experience in building recommendation engines or personalised newsfeed is a must
• Experience with relational databases e.g. Postgres
• Experience with Machine Learning algorithms
• Experience of working in the startup would be an advantage
• B2 English level (both written and verbal)
