About the project

This is a flexible, as-needed role ideal for someone experienced in software development projects. You’ll help shape projects early by working on business requirements and, at times, stay involved throughout execution. Typical tasks may include preparing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), documenting requirements, and ensuring project alignment with client goals.

responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
  • Prepare clear and structured WBS (Work Breakdown Structures) and supporting documentation
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories
  • Collaborate with project managers and developers to ensure proper understanding of scope and priorities
  • Participate in occasional meetings with clients to validate requirements or provide BA support
  • Review deliverables to ensure they meet original requirements

requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects (ideally 3+ years)
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, agile, and/or waterfall methodologies
  • Excellent skills in requirement elicitation, stakeholder communication, and documentation
  • Ability to produce clear WBS, BRDs, and functional specs
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, Lucidchart, etc.
  • Availability to work part-time or on an hourly basis as new projects arise

nice to have:

  • Experience working with startups or small-to-mid-sized software teams
  • Technical background or experience with UX/UI discussions
  • Understanding of API integrations and cloud-based platforms
